Challenge

Many women returning from a maternity break face deep-rooted insecurities, outdated career narratives, and a lack of tailored support: they are shifting from caregiving into the boardroom, often without confidence, visible role models, or organisational readiness. The brief was to create a narrative film that marks this transition and builds visibility for women rejoining the workforce under #ReturnToShine.

Solution

We developed an original concept centred on Aisha, a relatable protagonist facing the leap from diaper duties to boardroom battles. Star Hopper Studio wrote, developed, directed and produced the narrative fiction film in collaboration with Disney Star, combining humour, authenticity and emotional resonance. The film was integrated across broadcast and digital platforms, forming part of the wider #ReturnToShine initiative. We created supporting digital content to extend reach and engagement among working-women audiences.

Impact & Reach

The film delivered meaningful engagement among its target segment of women returning to work post-maternity. It sparked conversations on social media using #CtrlAltBelieve and #ReturnToShine, contributed to rising awareness of career comeback stories, and provided the brand with substantial digital reach and positive sentiment among the key demographic.
