Underground Film Observatory (UFO), run by Star Hopper, is a space dedicated to curating and exploring South-asian queer feminist perspectives on radical films, moving-image works, techniques, experiments, and evolving creative technologies.
It’s a subversive crossroads, a clandestine haven where thoughts unfold uncharted, unfiltered, uncensored, and unapologetic. We like exploring the intersections of cinema and broader cultural dynamics by asking essential questions:
Is it truly inclusive?
Is it equitable?
What is the intent?
Does it courageously embrace?
Does it boldly defy?
If not, why, and what transformative shifts can we instigate?
A ceaseless exploration, celebration, and redefinition of the cinematic cosmos.
