We are a next-generation, trans-led film production company with a primary focus on creating and curating narratives that are brown, queer, and women-led. Based in Mumbai (India), we are a small team of dedicated and bold creatives looking to the future of filmmaking with cultural awareness, integrity, and above all, a love for the medium of film.
Founded in 2019, Star Hopper was born out of the need to create a film culture, a space, and a new digital landscape for filmmakers, technicians, and talent from South Asian LGBTQIA++ and underrepresented communities to thrive and flourish. Working at the intersection of film and culture, we believe in the power and magic of storytelling, and we strive to tell inspiring, impact-driven stories through a lens that has historically been marginalized – one that is unique, progressive, and cross-cultural.
Our team of creative professionals have over a decade of experience in crafting exceptional content for a variety of brands and agencies, from documentaries, narrative fiction, music videos to commercials. We specialise in developing unique and impact driven stories that push the boundaries of storytelling and visual aesthetics.
Our work has earned accolades and found a home on esteemed platforms like Nowness Asia, Nowness, Directors Notes, Disney+Star, and Disney+Hotstar.. Our award-winning pieces have also been screened at numerous film festivals, events, and screenings around the world.
We're passionate about creating engaging and meaningful content that resonates with audiences and leaves a lasting impact. To learn more about our services and how we can help bring your vision to life, click...
